Notice: AI System Migration to Tokyo HQ

ASIACOM Group hereby announces that the core AI systems and related data management functions have been migrated from Hong Kong to our Japan Desk in Tokyo, which now serves as the Tokyo HQ for AI and shared systems.

Scope of the Migration

The migration covers the following systems and functions, which are now operated and overseen in Tokyo:

  • AI assistants (including “Ive”) used on ASIACOM Group websites
  • FAQ / chatbot systems and internal knowledge search
  • Trade-term dictionaries and contract-related reference data
  • AI-assisted inquiry handling for Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Philippine desks

Front-end entry points (Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippine websites) remain available, but the underlying AI engines and data processing are now managed in Tokyo.

Purpose and Background

This migration is part of our Tokyo HQ initiative, which aims to:

  • Strengthen governance and information security under Japanese law
  • Centralize AI and documentation tools at the Japan Desk
  • Maintain a compact organization while handling complex trade cases
  • Provide a consistent framework for all regional desks (HK / TW / PH)

Impact on Clients and Partners

For existing and future clients, the following points remain unchanged:

  • Your usual contact windows (Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippine desks) remain valid.
  • Local websites continue to provide contact forms and basic information.
  • AI assistants will continue to answer general questions in English and Traditional Chinese, now under Tokyo-based governance.

The main change is that inquiries entered via local desks may be processed by systems operated in Tokyo, and then internally routed to the appropriate regional desk.

Data Handling and Privacy

The purpose of data usage remains the same: to respond to inquiries, improve our services, and operate internal knowledge tools. The migration does not expand the scope of personal data usage, but changes the main location and entity responsible for AI operations to the Japan Desk in Tokyo.

For Users of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Philippine Desks

If you access our services via the Taiwan Desk, Hong Kong site, or Philippine Desk, please note that AI-related functions (chatbot replies, FAQ search, etc.) are now processed by systems at Tokyo HQ. Notices regarding AI operations will, as a rule, be issued from the Japan Desk in both English and Traditional Chinese.
